Medsin Name Change

medsin-logo.png

As you may know, for the last 2 years a discussion has been had over the organisation’s current name: Medsin. Many students involved in the network have debated over whether they are happy with the name or not, for a number of reasons which I will explain to you. As a result of this debate, a vote was had at a general assembly in 2007, which stated that the name would be voted on. Therefore, this year we opened up this discussion to all members, asking them to suggest alternative names for Medsin.

As a result of this, remarkable acheivements have been made in tackling poverty and disease in developing countries, including numbers of lives saved, children vaccinated and people on HIV/AIDS medication.....But will the economic, fuel and food crisis of 2008 threaten these acheivements?
